Haroon Mirza & Wayne McGregor

Choreographer Wayne McGregor and artist Haroon Mirza developed Transverse Waves for Wayne (Solar Symphony 10) as part of the Into Boundless Space I Leap exhibition in 2016.

The work explored the body and space through an experimental interaction of light, sound and movement. 

Jason Mabana and Julia Anna Sattler performed the work live at the Maxwell Centre, their bodies activating the sculptural soundscape that was created through a connection of solar panels, electricity and light sources.

A film of the the work was developed by McGregor, Mirza and British artist and filmmaker Ravi Deepres.
